By way of introduction, Im the chair for the Safety TG this year. The Safety committee would like to start offering some monetary awards, for example,
Best paper awards (student and maybe industry) and possibly some travel funding for students.
I was wondering if you/your TG had experience with offering these awards? If so, any tips or guidance you have would be really appreciated, e.g.
- What awards do you offer?
- How much are your gifts?
- How do you publicize this?
- Do recipients need to be members of your TG?
- What have you found to be the most attractive to, or well received by, members?
