    Hello All,

Welcome to a new year for the COTG.  If you are receiving this message and are not currently a TG Chair, then please let Steve at HFES know so he can make the update to the current TG Chair.  I will be sending out the minutes from the COTG meeting at the Annual Meeting in Oct 2019 and a revised version of the TG Chair Handbook for your consideration soon, but in the meantime....

We have been asked to consider another new TG, Human-AI-Robot-Teaming (HART).  I have attached the proposal for you consideration.  Please let me know if you have any questions for the proposers.  While reviewing the TG proposal you need to consider if this will be a value added to HFES and if the content substantially overlaps with an already existing TG.

By Friday, March 6, please let me know at my work email (jennifer.ockerman@jhuapl.edu) if you vote yes or no on the formation of this new TG.  If a majority of the voters, vote yes, then I will send a recommendation to the Executive Council that the TG be formed and ask for their approval.

Thanks for your consideration and response,
    Jennifer

    Hello TG Chairs,

This is a friendly reminder that I need your vote on whether you approve of the formation of the Human-AI-Robot Teaming (HART) TG.  Please send your vote to me (jennifer.ockerman@jhuapl.edu) by Friday, March 6.  If you do not vote yes to approve, please provide the reasons why you are voting to not approve.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.   I am writing to let you know that 10 TG Chairs voted on the formation of the HART TG.  There were nine yeses and one no.  As such I will be recommending to the Executive Council that the HART TG be allowed to form.  A few respondents provided feedback for the proposed TG and I have passed that information along to the proposed TG leadership.

Sorry for my delay in this manner but as I am sure is the case for all of us things have been a bit unsettled lately.

Thank you to those of you who took the time to vote and provide thoughtful comments on this important decision.

    Good health to you,
    Jennifer
