    The Cognitive Systems Laboratory in the University of Wisconsin-Madison is recruiting postdoctoral researchers with expertise in human factors engineering, cognitive systems engineering, and human computer interaction. Research experience in the driver behavior and driving safety domain is highly desired.  

    The postdoctoral researchers will primarily be working with Dr. John Lee and Dr. Joonbum Lee on research projects in the area of collaboration between human drivers and highly automated driving systems. 

    Responsibilities:
    • Conduct literature review and summarize findings
    • Conduct cognitive work analyses on automated vehicle systems
    • Assist in the preparation of study protocols and materials  
    • Manage and perform data collection and analysis activities 
    • Author/co-author research manuscripts

    Requirements
    • Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Psychology, or relevant fields
    • Good understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (plus, familiarity with R)
