HFES invites all students to participate in the "Mobile Health Applications for Consumers" Design Competition in conjunction with the 2020 International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care. Please forward to any students (yours or someone else's!) that you think might be interested.
The finalist teams will each receive a $200 prize and a podium presentation at the Symposium (March 9th, 2019). The winning team will be awarded an additional $500 prize. Notice of intent to participate (a very short form!) is due November 8, 2019, and final entries will be accepted between December 2, 2019 and January 6, 2020.
Once again this year, we will be assigning coaches to all finalist teams. These coaches will be experienced human-centered designers, who will help the team hone their app design and coach them on process guidance.
If you would like to be a judge or a coach, or have any questions, feel free to email me at
