Hello all,
Human Factors and Ergonomics Society invites all students to participate in the "Mobile Health Applications for Consumers" Design Competition in conjunction with the 2021 International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care.
We are looking for reviewers, coaches, and judges for the competition. Not only will this be a great experience for the student participants, but it will also provide you with the opportunity to recruit many talented students with backgrounds in human factors engineering and design. Below are the responsibilities of the three roles we are looking to fill:
Reviewer
- Application submissions are due February 19, 2021. Each reviewer will be assigned 1-3 applications to review between February 19, 2021 and March 19, 2021. All applications are prototypes and the write-ups will consist of less than 10 pages.
- Three teams will be chosen as finalists to present at the 2021 International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care on April 12, 2021.
Coach
- Once submissions are reviewed and the three finalists are chosen, each team will be assigned a coach to advice on the application between March 19, 2021 and April 12, 2021.
- Coaches will commit to at least two meetings with their team during this time.
Judge
- Judges will review the three finalists at the Virtual Symposium on April 12, 2021. Rubrics will be provided, and the winner will be selected.
